What is a Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship (PGP)?

The PGP program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their parents and grandparents for permanent residency, giving families a chance to live together in Canada. It's a heartfelt pathway to bring your loved ones closer, permanently.

Eligibility

• You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

• You must be at least 18 years old

• You must meet the Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) for 3 consecutive years

Application Process

1. Submit an Interest to Sponsor form during the IRCC intake period

2. Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) if selected

3. Submit sponsorship and PR applications with required documents

4. Parents/grandparents undergo medical, background checks, and biometrics

5. IRCC processes the application and issues PR if approved
